- Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences: Journalism, Psychology, Communication Science, and more
- Faculty of Commerce, Administration & Law: Accounting, Economics, Business Management, Legal Studies
- Faculty of Education: Bachelor of Education in various specialization
- Faculty of Science, Agriculture & Engineering: Computer Science, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, and Engineering.
General Undergraduate Admission Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate With Bachelor’s degree endorsement.
- Admission Point Score [APS]: Each programme has a minimum Admission Point score. Check the UNIZULU prospectus for your course
- Subject Requirements: Specific subjects + minimum levels depending on faculty
Post-graduate requirements:
- Honours/ PG Diploma: relevant Bachelor’s degree with required average. Minimums vary by the department.
- Master’s: Relevant Honours degree or 4-year Bachelor’s. Research proposal + supervisor often required
- PhD: Relevant Master’s degree + research proposal
INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS: Must submit the following before registration
- Certified Copy of passport
- SAQA evaluation for foreign qualifications
- Valid study permit
- proof of financial means
- Medical Insurance
Other important notes
- Mature Age / RPL: Recognition of Prior Learning considered for some applicants
- Documents needed: Certified ID Copy, Grade 11 or Grade 12 results, other programme specify documents
- NSFAS: Separate application via NSFAS portal.

- Upload certified documents in PDF: ID/Passport, school results, and other documents
- Pay the R250 CAO fee, and keep proof
